Parent/Teacher Organization

"Today's Catholic school…is a center in which parents and teachers, guided by the Holy Spirit, collaborate in giving children a complete Catholic education."

(National Conference of Catholic Bishops, Teach Them: Statement on Catholic Schools, 1976)

The St. Edward Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) enables parents to participate in the educational ministry of the school to help students grow as well-rounded persons. Parents form a partnership with the faculty and staff of the school by supporting and encouraging their children at school and at home and providing volunteer service to the school.

All families perform at least 20 hours of service for the school each year. The PTO operates in accordance with the diocesan regulations and the local by-laws. A $30 fee is paid by all families at registration.

PTO Fund Raisers

It Takes A Village (ITAV Website)

Each Spring, the St. Edward PTO sponsors the It Takes A Village Dinner & Auction. This past year we also added a casino games component to create It Takes A Village: Vegas Style. This is a night of great fun. Proceeds from ITAV have been used for a variety of projects including installing air conditioner systems and improving classroom technology.
