Pre-School

St. Edward Catholic School in Little Rock offers pre-school for 3 and 4 year old children. Our program provides a safe, happy and healthy environment for our students to learn and explore many concepts in their daily lives.
Our pre-school students are challenged daily in many areas through curriculum based instruction, working on gross (large-scale) and fine (small-scale) motor skills through various activities, and developing and practicing social skills. Our students learn through play by rotating through various learning centers including small group instructional time with the classroom teacher. Students learn language arts through the Superkids program in Pre-K 4 and The Letter People in Pre-K 3. We also use the Pflaum Gospel Weeklies in both the 3- and 4-year-old classes to teach our students more about Jesus Christ. Our pre-school is licensed by the AR Dept. of Human Services and follows all DHS Licensing Requirements.
Mrs. Marie Brakebill has taught the 4-year-old pre-school at St. Edward for its entire 17 year existence. She has completed the CDA licensure program through Pulaski Technical College. Our Pre-K 3 teacher, Mrs. Breann Wilbur, has studied Child Development at Arkansas State University for two years, Preschool curriculum at Pulaski Tech for four years, and two years of Elementary Education at the University of Central Arkansas. Prior to joining St. Edward, Mrs. Wilbur worked at the Child Development Center (CDC) in downtown Little Rock.
St. Edward offers a full day pre-school program (8:00-3:00) with opportunities for our students to rest during the afternoon. We also offer an optional extended care program until 5:30. Rates and fees are listed on our tuition page
We would love to have your children join us for an amazing early childhood learning experience!
