Drop-Off/Pick up Procedures

 

Morning Drop-Off:

Prior to 7:45, students may be dropped off on Ferry Street at the black wrought iron fence to the parking lot. No child should be dropped off from other areas of the parking lot or allowed to walk across Ferry Street.

In case of rain, students will enter Primary School Building at the Ferry Street doors and go straight to the Gym.

Students may not be dropped off prior to 7:30 when there will be an adult on duty.

Pre-K and Kindergarten students may be walked into the primary building between 7:45 and 8:00 by their parents. Please park in the parking lot only. Do not park on Ferry Street.

Afternoon Pick-Up: 3:00

Cars pick up from two locations:

• (*new*) “Main Entrance”- Carpool Line pickup: Students grades 1st & 2nd, 6th -8th. Those coming east on 9th should turn on Commerce or Rock and form a line straight down 8th. Turn right on Sherman and left into the school driveway. Do NOT turn off 9th onto Sherman. This causes traffic to back up on 9th street causing a hazard to the Fire Department in case of a call. When exiting parking area, please turn left on 8th Street to avoid entering the Ferry Street line.

• “Ferry Street”- Carpool Line pickup: Students grades PK, K, 3rd-5th and all those with siblings in these grades. Cars should enter Ferry Street from 6th or 7th streets only and head straight up Ferry to have children be loaded in to cars at the Primary School main doors.

 

WE ASK THAT EVERYONE BE PATIENT AND FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS FOR THE SAFETY OF THE CHILDREN.

Students not picked up by 3:15 will be sent to Aftercare and may be charged the one day fee of $10.
